suspension

I snatched half an hour for a walk in the sunshine early this morning. I often take this shot, or a version of it, because I rather like the pattern of the reflections on the bridge but I have never posted one before - these shots always seem to get pipped at the post. So I have had a last second change of mind. The bridge is used by every wedding photographer in Bedford as a backdrop for the happy couple on their special day (or sometimes, it would seem, before).

I was going to show you a flower shot from Time gardens. But I remembered how I got absolutely soaked by the sprinkler, which swung around behind me and had me thoroughly wet in just the two seconds it took me to realise what was happening! It was the start of a series of unfortunate events today, including someone going into the back of my car, and being told off at the tidy tip for taking my green bin on foot. They will call the police if I do it again apparently as there is not an official designated walkway!

So I prefer to post from the moment before the day started to go pear shaped (no need for sympathy - as I have reminded myself - the incidences are just a series of first world problems and no one has been hurt).

Let me just mention the title ..... there is a new suspension bridge the other side of the town bridge and it is causing quite a stir in the town - especially amongst those who like to get up in arms about anything modern. I really don't like it but have not signed the petition to get it removed, as I have decided to suspend my judgement until the remainder of the development in complete and it is seen in its true context.
An interesting bridge, and a good POV, with the green ironwork receding and getting ever more closed up. Nic ecurve too. fav

I love it, the angle is perfect showing the curves and patterns. fav.
What a day you have had.
We have just taken two trailer loads of green rubbish to the recycle centre, mainly the avocado tree we had to remove and general leaves etc. I need a cup of tea now.

Sometimes, suspending judgment (and any reaction...) is the safest choice! Cool photo (and thanks for the follow)

Beautiful pov on this bridge Helen, and wise of you to hold off - just in case.. I'm sorry you had such trouble today but you're wise to take a step back. It's true we can so wrapped up in our first world problems and it's good to realize that's just what they are... :)

What a day you've had. At least your bridge is a constant. It's good to have a place where you feel a peace with the (mad) world.
