Palm Sunday in Jerusalem by helenhall

Palm Sunday in Jerusalem

There is so much to process on a visit to Israel and the occupied territories. Today in Jerusalem was no exception. We witnessed scenes of joy and scenes of harassment and distress.

The procession was described by the 'Bishop' of the holy land as a 'beautiful bath of Christian joy despite all of our problems"

I couldn't possibly disagree.
What a cool picture! Did you take this out of a building? So many people, I guess, I would have felt a little confined.

I would have thought there would be a donkey or two around! So many people celebrating! I'm sure they would know why!

Whoa, i cannot imagine the surge of emotion this display could bring about.. i love that so many faces are looking upwards, so you get faces not tops of heads.. love the myriad colours too.. a fabulous emotionally charged image..

An intense scene! Personally, I would have filled the frame only with the crowd, but it's powerful as is!

That would be an exciting event to be a part of- although I think my favorite place was the Sea of Galilee.
