Our diversion to the Taste Bedford festival on Saturday was but a warm up for our adventure to the British Summer Time event in Hyde Park yesterday. I have only ever been to a big outdoor music festival twice before. The first was at Knebworth, circa 1979 with the Beach Boys headlining. The second was in Milton Keynes Bowl with David Bowie - late 1980's. So just to prove we are not getting too old, my husband booked tickets for this at the beginning of the year.
On stage here, is the headline act - Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers.
I wasn't expecting much from these photos (I was just trying to avoid the tall man with the bright red hat standing in from of me). But bearing in mind the circumstances, I was quite pleased with the shots, and I will share a few of these with you over the next few days.
love the fiery reds/oranges against the twilight blue of the sky.. i really like the 'over the heads of others' shot.. it feels like i'm part of the audience.. good shot..
TP & HB? wow, that's going back in time.. it was never my type of music but i still recall them..
@jorlam not really my type of music either. But the live concert was enjoyable and I recognised and enjoyed some of the tunes. To get the true feeling of being in the audience, there would have been two tall fellows dancing around with copious beer, standing just at the front of the picture and obscuring the stage. ha ha! @ivan perhaps one of the most dramatic sets of the evening.

I was at Milton Keynes Bowl for David Bowie too!! A hot, hot day and it was almost evening before he came on too!
