Here is a composite that I actually took today. The poppies were blowing madly so I just had to shoot and hope for a good effect from the movement. In fact, I was reasonably happy with a number, without any need for messing around - but today, being my day off - was a good day for messing around and so I came up with this, another one for the ETSOOI flowers challenge - inspired by Clare Gadsby's wonderful breezy flower here https://365project.org/pistache/365
So as the poppies were all over the place, I decided to combine six of my shots in layers, varying the translucency of each layer. I then moved part of a couple of the layers to get the arrangement of flowers I was happy with. A touch of the twirl effect happened next I think - on just a part of the image. After that - who knows, just some subtle changes in light and contrast I think until I decided I would need to start again to improve further.
Helen, i've no idea of how or when to use layers nor any of the other things you describe but i do like the result of your playful labours - very much.. Gorgeous swirls and sensuous 'S' shapes abound, as solid as a fading memory..
i could see this made up as a diaphanous frock or blouse, maybe a scarf..
Totally adore your artistic work of art, would totally love on a canvas, poppies are my fav, so deff a fav from me. :) I would love to learn more in the process of altering and experimenting , can I ask what program you use Helen?
@lovingandsharing Hi Kay, I am using an old version of photoshop CS5. Picked it up for a good price when I worked in a school and have spent several years just playing and discovering as I go along rather than learning in any systematic way.
I absolutely love this one Helen. Hope you are going to enlarge it and put it on your wall - it's so beautiful and has a fantastic feel of the moment in the breeze. Instant fav you clever lady.
So many comments and favs. Rather overwhelming. Thank each of you. I hope you wont mind if I don't reply individually to all on this one. Ill let you know when the silk scarves are in production!
@stimuloog@gaylewood@stefneyhart thank you. And I would never have noticed the TT unless you had mentioned it Stef. I find it a bit embarrassing to be in amongst all of those wonderful captures there (including yours!)
Thank for you visit and nice comment. Much appreciated.
