Abstract August 6

It seems that I am never very far from the river. Although I made a special effort this afternoon (after completing our DIY project in the bedroom, - all is now set and ready for our visitors from Japan), to drive to a different spot to gain inspiration for my abstracts, I ended up looking once more at all the beautiful reflections in the water.

Whilst yesterday's shot was voted abstract without a doubt. This one is identifiable, despite my having given it a little twist.
Yes, it is identifiable but, nevertheless, it is a captivating image.. i love the sensuous curves and the (almost) monochromatic palette.

'Trippy', as they said in the '60s. Fav.

Beautiful reflections. Swirling, dancing. Beautiful abstract!

All the more beautiful with your little twist

I don't mind that you can tell what this one is- fav!

Nice. A little reminiscent of Japanese vases.

I like this. It's almost as if the leaves are swirling around in time with the water as it ebbs and flows.

I really like how you are playing with your camera here, and how you have been with the abstracts as well. Konnichiwa to your guests from Japan!

There is something rather Japanese about this. Was that the intention? Very nice

I indulge in water and it's reflections, the movement & colours it creates amaze me. This is a fabulous capture

@jorlam thank you Jorlam. Most kind.
@moviegal1 thanks Kerri.
@fotoblah ah - enjoy!
@onewing thanks Babs. I enjoy the pattern too.
@redandwhite how generous - thank you
@stimuloog thank you so much
@suzanne234 I thought I would give it an extra kick - thanks
@olivetreeann thanks for the permission to be slightly off abstract!
@haskar @helenm2016 I cant say it was deliberately Japanese although I did think that myself after I took it and the twist added to the Japanese flower arrangement style.
@stephanies thank you Stephanie.
@jyokota thanks and for the greetings - I will be sure to say Konnichiwa to Yoko. She lives in Tokyo but hails from Hiroshima.
@wenbow me too Wendy. If I could only photograph one thing I think it would be all the reflections in the river.

It is identifiable but I would still call it an abstract. Those swirls and lines are really beautiful.
