On Saturday I arrived a little too late to see the sun climb up over the horizon, but my low pov on this makes it look as though the sun was barely up.
A glorious day is in promise.
I tried out so many variations on a theme here, and each one has its own merits. This one, I enjoy because of the diagonal of the shore line across the frame, and the divisions between stones, sand, sea and sky. I guess, slightly more prominence to the ship on the horizon might have been nice. I didn't think of that until now.

This is so beautiful. I like the way you change your perspective to achieve your goal. I find that time of the morning is my favorite time at the beach.
Your photo really has that early morning feel to it. I like your diagonal too and how the picture is split with the different textures and colours but it still makes a tranquil scene. Fav.
One of LR's best songs indeed. It was the theme of my speech when I retired from my job: my time at school has been 'A Perfect Day'. And the song fits perfectly with this beautiful sunrise.
