A second attempt at the current artist challenge. Although I went out hunting again today, I'm finding this more difficult than I expected. None of today's shots had the characteristic empty foreground that I have noticed on Colton Allen's series. So I went back to this shot from a couple of days ago, and undid the crop that had taken some of the foreground away. This is the bridge that carries the traffic over the river at my end of town.
(I'm trying to keep going with photos but it means i'm not processing the holiday ones so quickly. I'm struggling with them to be honest but still posting to fill the gaps when I can. Still catching up with you all too. Its all very random, so if I have missed you out altogether so far, I can assure you it is not deliberate ..... )
The underside of bridges make excellent photo subjects don't they.

@onewing thank you. Its all about the difference between what I want to do, and what I should be doing. So when I am not on here - I am probably doing something I ought to be doing! (but maybe not always). Anyway, thanks for the encouragement and for your loyalty in following my contributions here.
@olivetreeann I think the natural inclination is to cut off the foreground before considering what it has to contribute to the overall composition. Thanks for your comments and observations.
Hi Helen - great photo for the challenge. Are you able to tell me how you added the border please? I have been trying to add a border in Lightroom and can't get it to work.
Ah! I see what you're working on with these shots now, having spotted the challenge. What an interesting and challenging challenge. I like the nested curves in this shot.
