And this is my first attempt at a response to the challenge. However, now reading more carefully that the object is not only to convey a quiet moment but to do so creatively, there is more to be done to meet the brief.
For today, this is all I have and it does truly represent a quiet moment in my day. I am involved in running a conference tomorrow and today has been a frantic running through of check lists, and preparing papers and slides and information stands etc and adjusting to last minute changes and cancellations.
The power of 365. I decided to leave it all behind and go and seek a quiet moment. This is part of a feature in the ornamental lake at Bedford Park. Twenty minutes to walk there. One quiet moment, and twenty minutes to walk back. But I do believe that every day should have a quiet moment and this is the only one I was going to get.
Good luck with the conference Helen, good of you to take the time for the quiet moment (I'd be running around like a headless chicken I think, panicking).
There's something about water tumbling over rocks that is very quieting. I'm glad you took the time to take a break- it will help you to be ready for the day ahead. Pretty shot.
Sitting here viewing your beautiful water cascade photo on black has been a delightful quiet moment for me. I'm glad you were able to leave it all behind and experience your own quiet moment today. Perhaps the walk there and back also provided you with some reflective time. Good luck with your conference...I hope everything runs smoothly. :-)
Fantastic capture Helen. You should join Bedford Camera Club as your images are so lovely. I agree with you about having a quiet moment - we all need one each day. Fav
@rosiekind I have toyed with the idea - tbh I'm a bit scared!
