Continuing my search for a moment of calm, I headed in the opposite direction to the Town park today, past the town centre business and to the new riverside development. It looked as though a quiet moment was going to be hard to portray, but as I watched the swans glide by with an air of serenity, and caught the bokeh of the glistening water in the lens of the camera, my quiet moment was both experienced and formulated. I took two shots - one focussed on the swan, and one without the swan and a more distant focus to achieve the bokeh. Combined in photoshop.
(thank goodness I don't have to trawl through all the attempts at creative shadow abstract type shots that I had taken on the other side of the river - just in case I found nothing better!)
Time for me to thank you once again for all your lovely comments, interactions and votes of confidence. I truly appreciate each one and wish I was able to spare more time to respond more thoroughly.
Week Four Prompt
Creative: Quiet Moment
Peace. Serenity. Tranquility. Convey a quiet moment.
Absolutely fabulous photo, Helen! Excellent focus, water drops add a special touch, and the bokeh is magical! I'm so glad you experienced a quiet moment in the process of getting the shots for this final photo. :-)
