Needing a break from the floral, I chose this shot for today before getting to grips with some macro shots. I have taken a few to process, but they are all flora and fauna as nothing else seems to be presenting itself at present.
As I opened the curtains yesterday, I noticed the long shadow of the lamp post, and the neighbour's mini shining in the sun. The combination seemed to merit a capture.
@redandwhite thank you Catherine @fbailey thank you, a twist of the camera included all that I wanted in the photo. Next door seem to be mini connoisseurs. @moonmtn thank you - b&w seemed a natural choice for this @kwind thank you - always good to wake up to sunshine in the mornings @graemestevens thanks - there is something quite nostalgic about the mini - even for those of us who never owned one. @haskar the light caught the texture on the street well. thank you. @onewing thank you, I was holding the camera at 45 degrees to get the best composition @ethelperry thank you yes, I felt invited! @ivan thanks. It looks good gleaming in the sun light I think. @gaylewood thank you Gayle. Yes, a carefully chosen angle. @summerfield why not indeed @janetb thank you Janet. I agree, long shadows can add so much to a scene. @carolmw thanks Carol
I like this- interestingly in the Scavenger Hunt that our club does with another area club one of the topics is "Through the Window". I was shooting a picture of a bird at the feeder today but it seems way too typical for me. I think a walk along Main Street is in order! Good shot with a interesting pov of view- well done!
