I'm doing a spot of 'here is one I prepared earlier' this evening, as the camera didn't come out today. I have done all the catching up I can, so sorry if I missed a few - I resorted, in the end to just offering a few favs to those from a few days ago that particularly caught my attention.
This one is from last weekend when we took a circular walk around Woburn - it was raining at the time. I particularly enjoyed being able to edit the raw file on this. Lots of new tools to learn in bridge, some of which are frustrating me because I haven't looked up how to use them properly. But in this instance, I was able to lighten up the house more effectively than I think I would have achieved in photoshop.
You may be somewhat distressed to know that I (and the inimitable Mrs S) have also trodden upon that patch of noble earth...didn't get a shot like this though, love that tree.
A fabulous photo of Woburn Abbey. I was curious about this location after viewing your photo so I checked it out online . . . 24 rooms to explore inside the family home, 28 acres of beautiful gardens, and an extensive deer park. Wow! Definitely an area I would like to visit! :-)
Pretty as a postcard! You have a wonderful talent for beautiful compositions. Good luck to you with your venture into new ways to edit. I'm still using only Lightroom; and try as I may, I'm rarely able to achieve the look I envision. There is, however, always hope! :)
I find this an interesting shot Helen in that house looks kind of small compared to the tree in the foreground which looks so huge. It's a great example of how distance can alter perception. I am glad you are enjoying raw editing, pselements also has the ability to raw edit but I can't get on with it and tend to lighten up certain parts of a picture in Viveza - Nik collection.
