Bluebell study 1

You may see a few bluebells from me this week. I have long been curious about how to make bluebells look good in photographs as they seem to me, to be one of those subjects that actually looks better through the eyes than the lens of a camera.

Unfortunately, I am not within reach of a wooded area of bluebells on a day to day basis so for now at least, I am having to practice on the few I can find around town. I love to see them in their natural woodland habitat - as a carpet of blue, and shall be very disappointed if I don't manage to get to such a place this year.

Nevertheless, I shall work with what I have and hope that by the end of the week I am more confident in learning how to get them looking their best. After some considerable faffing around with different processing on todays shots, here is one that I am happy with some aspects of.
Lovely

The closeup works really well with them. Good with the contrast against the green.

I look forward to your bluebell study. I agree that some things seem hard to capture but I am certain you will do your best. I like this shot, the detail is great.

This is lovely and I too find bluebells elusive. I have made a few attempts but have decided to enjoy them in my mind's eye.
