Pollenating Poppies

Vision: No Peeking
Shoot as if you were using a film camera. That means that you will not look at the photographs you've taken until they are downloaded on your computer.

Took the camera out for the first time this week, with a view to use it as if I had a film in it. I took 8 photos, 7 of which I felt were good enough to keep. A few have had some minor tweaks, but I deliberately shot in jpg and haven't cropped any. I was surprised how I missed not editing in raw - I only discovered how to convert the files for photoshop bridge a few weeks ago.

I waited, in the hope of catching a bee coming out of the poppy and was rather shocked to find that I managed it. Not sharp, but I'm happy enough for today.
I think this is lovely, the focus is really sharp and the bee is moving. That seedhead could not be clearer.

The details and colour are absolutely lovely, the bee is a great bonus.

Good for you on taking that challege. I don't usually review my pictures until I've uploaded them and I don't shoot in live-view either. But it does sound like a fun twist to shoot as if you were shooting with film. Good shot!
