A shot of bees on lavender at this time of year is compulsory isn't it?
Today I took a 20 minute break and instead of walking towards town, took the back streets to where a recently landscaped green area replaces some derelict land in a square largely populated by nursing homes.
There isn't much to look at, but the lavender was out and I thought I might just manage to catch a bee, hovering above it or coming in to land.
