At the park

This is the park just around the corner from where I live. Behind the bushes here is an expanse of grass set up for football although nowadays just as often used by outdoor gym classes, or groups of dog walkers.

It was to have been another attempt at focus stacking, but this one went badly wrong and I lost the enthusiasm to make it work since all of the four photos I took seemed to be in pretty good focus regardless of where I had put the focal point.

So I just selected one of them, as once again, I have little else to show you.
Very attractive, love the sky

I like this shot- I like how the black and white really pulls out the texture of the grass, path and clouds in the sky. So here's my question- does this shot really need to have focus stacking? Isn't that more for scenes the have several areas of interest- for example if there was a bench by the path and a bird in the sky and a person in the distance walking a dog...this one seems to have all the focal points on one plane. I haven't done that but that's what I think of when I hear the term.

@olivetreeann I think you are right Ann. As the trees were all at different distances, I thought I would try to improve the focus on them by taking shots with the focus on trees at different depths. But as you say, I don't think it really needed this.

nice processing, almost black and white

Good tonal range has given the shot depth. Nice. Of course the path in the corner leading out of frame would be so annoying to an old purist (things on the edge always pull the eye away) but I like it! Makes me smile, no idea why!

@yrhenwr to be honest I hadn't twigged that the path was compositionally wrong, although I see that now. It didn't disturb me either,
