Trick or Treat

I am not fan of Halloween. More of a killjoy. And I wasn't sure what to make of the display in the house across the road when I got in from work today. On the one hand, I had to be impressed - the cartoon video footage came complete with sound effects as the spooky voices from within the house conversed with the trick or treaters that dared to stop and stare.

I have super imposed a couple of images here - as the view was obscured by trees and cars, so difficult to photograph - and I didn't want to get into conversation with what ever was haunting that house tonight!

So, this is more or less the view from my bedroom window tonight. Sleep well folks.

I am not a fan of Halloween either and leave David to deal with the Trick or Treaters, but luckily we only had two visitors last night.

Nicely done. Luckily, there aren't any youngsters around here, so we haven't had any trick or treaters for the last few years. Used to be quite a pain getting eggs thrown at the door and windows.

Is it safe to come out yet? I'm no fan either as Halloween (as it is celebrated these days) is not part of the culture in which I grew up. its just another money-maker (grump! grump!)
