I realise that I can not go on posting dunes for ever, but with so much holiday processing to get through, it helps to share a few - it kind of acts as a reward at the end of another session of sorting. And to see these dunes was most definitely a highlight of the trip. I have chosen three textural shots for today. (The others in my alternative album).
A massive thank you to everyone for your very encouraging comments. Im sorry to be making some of you jealous of the trip. It most certainly is a country worth visiting - so many places in Namibia like the abandoned village and Fish River Canyon that we didn't get to visit either. I would certainly take another trip back (at a slightly cooler time of year) given half a chance.
@taffy thank you Taffy. Just imagine what you could do if visiting without the restrictions of the tour and in the best of the light conditions! I would so love to go back and take my time photographing these scenes again. You would absolutely love it.
The layering here is quite beautiful. I say post all the Nambia images you want- it's your project!!! And of course we love looking at them- how else would we know the beauty that's there if not for your pictures?
Super great sharp dunes. I love the desert. In my younger days I’ve backpacked through the Sahara. The greatest sunsets! The best open air museum with dunes and rock formations. What an impressive trip you’re making. Great. :)
