Sphere of influence

This was my reserve image from yesterday. I was thinking about the lecture on composition and decided to have a go at making an interesting image using the path of the duck as a leading line.

These mornings are so dark when I am out that I am having trouble getting any sort of a picture without extreme noise. For this reason, all today's pictures have been discarded.
Makes for a more interesting duck pic,

I know what you mean about the light! The mornings seem to be getting darker.

Yes, I see what you mean about the leading line - definitely works.

Neat idea for leading line. Has a lovely charcoal drawing look.

Love this, I like the composition, we really are drawn to look at the duck.

You use black and white really well here, I like how the duck fits in seamlessly into its surroundings. I have the same problem concerning the light. Tomorrow I will hopefully use my lunchbreak for a picture.

I like the pattern in the water. At least your days are starting to get longer again as ours get shorter.

Nice idea. I like it lighter later!

I think this works really well- the line of the duck is spot on. Good job Helen! And Saxa is right- work with the noise instead of trying to get around it and see what happens!
