Hinged

Spent the weekend in Cheshire with Dad. Saturday we were at St Mary's Nantwich all day and evening. We were taking part in the ' Come and Sing' event rehearsing and then performing Handel's Messiah. A long day and quite enjoyable but the enthusiasm wore off through the day as it got colder and colder in the large church. I ended up performing in six layers of clothes, with a headache and a blanket round my knees when we were sitting down for the soloists!

The hinge is on one of the external doors on the side of the church.
craftmanship!

I do love these hinges- a piece of art on every inch of these beautiful structures. Not so today! Love the texture of the wood too. Sounds like a wonderful performance, if not a chilly one!

Your suffering was (I hope) worth it for this delicate shot of the heavy door. Worth it for the singing too I hope.
