Two sons, one girlfriend, accompanied us on our annual weekend family escape. With two of us being challenged by the walking - one having bitten off more than she could chew and the other being cautious lest he should - we opted for the short cut that we could see would take us to the right path back to our accommodation. This, in preference to further attempts at finding the route that was oh so clear on the map but failing to materialise on the ground, and that would have completed our circular walk.
haha how many walks have we had where the map turns out to be nothing like the terrain travelled! these three seem to be enjoying some gentle companionship while searching. wonderful silhouettes. i hope you had a lovely time :)
@maggiemae oh i do. Im standing at the point where i can see a route acriss the fields to a link with our outward path. The younger generation have turned towards me having abandoned the search for the route intended. We are not far from East Dean in Sussex.
@pistache it was our trip from two weeks ago. And yes we had a lovely time. But the short cut meant the gin festival kicked in a little earlier than would have been wise for us!
