It really was a very dull and non-descript day when I set out in search of a photo, and my expectation was low. But I have learned, that patience often brings reward so I hung around this spot, waiting for something to catch my eye. After five minutes or so, from out of the blue, a line of light started to emerge along the horizon, and my photo was made.
Today I am thankful for peace - despite considerable turmoil, injury and consequences caused by a car accident within the family.

This is so beautiful. It looks like a very peaceful place to be, and I can imagine how excited you were when you saw that light emerge. I’m sorry for the turmoil you’re experiencing, and I hope that things improve for you and all involved very soon...like the light appearing in the dark at the lake.
