I set out well before 6 am yesterday owing to the fact that I misread the clock when I woke up. The forecast was poor for the day but the couple of hours I spent out and about were bright and calm before the wind started to get up.
As I was walking, a photographer and I kept overtaking each other as we alternately paused to look or take a photograph. Eventually he spoke to me asking if I lived on his road. And yes, we are neighbours - different ends of the street.
We chatted, about our interest in photography and after we parted, he called me back because he had found this dragon fly and thought I might like to take a photograph of it.
Thank you to Adrian and his act of kindness.
And now I know, if you want to photograph dragonflies, before 7 am when they are still resting is the perfect time.
Great shot Helen! It's such a good feeling to know that there are nice people out there who are not only neighborly but also excited to share their discoveries with you.
