Heather at Coopers Hill by helenhall

Heather at Coopers Hill

This evening was going to be my catch up time. But in the end it was swallowed up with preparing for an interview for a carer for Dad and liaising with the family (sigh). It then took me half an hour to get into this site, because for some obscure reason my password has stopped working on the browser that I use. Curious. So no commenting yet again tonight - my sincerest apologies.

Yesterday, in between dramatic bursts of rain and thunder, we took the car out to Ampthill and a site of special scientific interest which just happens to be at the back of the school where I used to work. It has been completely transformed and the bracken (yes, the bracken that I claimed didn't exist near where I live) and grasses stripped back to allow heather to grow. I never explored it when I worked at the school - I was lucky if I had time to eat my sandwich at lunch time, let alone leave the school gates to explore.

Really enjoyed the fine display of heather amongst the oak trees.
How pretty- it looks like something out of a fairy tale.

Such a lovely scene. Must get out to Dunwich Heath and see how the heather is coming along this year.

A beautiful landscape. When turmoil comes into my life, I stop posting and commenting. Your friends who care about you will understand.
