The Eye, Westminster and beyond

View of the Thames looking west. It's taken from the 80 Strand building which is occupied by the firm I work for. Company folklore has it that Winston Churchill would use the balcony during the Second World War for its clear views both west and east along the river. I can't find verification of this on the internet but have learnt that during the war the building was home to the Ministry of Supply which co-ordinated supply of equipment to the national armed forces. So it's just possible the story is true.
A great outlook and interesting background. Love the cloudscape :)

@hermann The cloudscape wasn't part of my thinking at the time but you're right it's a good display.
@tonygig Thank you, Tony.
@chris17 Many thanks for your comment and fave
@kwind Thanks a lot
@onewing It was. In both directions in fact but I couldn't get both sides in together
@yaorenliu Big Ben looking west, I guess. And St Paul's looking east. How London must have changed. He'd be amazed.
