O is for...Overcast

When I took the dogs for their morning walk; a streak of delicate duck egg blue was all that could be seen of the sky beneath an eiderdown of thick grey cloud. The sun did break through eventually but not for long.

thanks! I only realised much later in the day that it was the perfect O picture. I thought I was going to have to cheat and use a picture I'd taken on another day, because after a brief dog walk this morning I've spent the rest of the day in front of the laptop at my desk with very little material for any other pictures...so it was a lucky chance!

Hi Yin, yes, the blue streak behind the poplars is the sky - in reality it was a much clearer, brighter shade but it just doesn't show up too well in the picture - I tried increasing exposure and/or saturation a little but then the clouds didn't look right so I had to leave it like this - I wish I knew what I was doing!
