Yesterday Spring arrived. The sun shone in a bright blue sky and bees buzzed in the blossom. The sounds of barbeques being hosed down and lawn-mowers throbbing into life after their long winter hibernation drifted on the balmy breeze.
Yeah, that was yesterday! Today rain is bucketing down from a ditchwater-grey sky again and there is talk of snow on the forecast. Oh well, I will hang on to that glimpse of Spring by posting this picture; I took it yesterday afternoon, but decided to use the boys 'n' bikes picture instead because I really wanted to remember that moment. I was feeding our three lugubrious ducks when I looked up to see this guy busy in the winter honeysuckle blossom. Bumble bees are apparently becoming rare in the UK, but I think that may be because they are all hiding in my garden!
Fantastic photo, as always!!! :o) We have had a flutter of snow fall today (Up in West Lothain, Scotland) When I heard the weath report this morning, I was like "What??? Snowing?? Noooo!!" But yes indead it did snow :o)
I ran across you this morning ... and after reading this description, I've got to follow you! Love love love your description of what you were hearing yesterday and seeing today (ditchwater grey sky). I'm going to have to spend more time going backwards through your album...
