Next to Harlton Woods is a quarry. The fence around it is liberally peppered with dire warning signs: The Quarry Is Not A Play Area, and Cliff Edge. There is also a sign saying: This Is Not The Footpath; This View Point Has Been Placed Here For Your Enjoyment. So we all stood and viewed until we felt that our enjoyment levels were at their peak. I took some pretty pictures of the violets in the woods - drifts of white and purple ones were growing everywhere, it was hard not to step on them, but decided to go with the layers of chalk in the quarry instead. Enjoy!
Yes, definitely the textures...they stand out. Wish I could be standing there to experience it...think it must have been very interesting with all the layers.
I am so glad you are OK. I hope that volcano calms down sometime soon so you can get home. They said on the news that the last time it erupted, it erupted for an entire year! I am looking forward to your pictures of Thailand.
It was good to get your note; it must be discombobulating to be stranded for a length of time. You're such a good writer, we look forward to hearing stories! Safe travels...
