Here's Mac slaving over a hot stove on Father's Day! Both boys had sleep-overs at friends' houses last night so there was no one to bring him cards and presents this morning (cue violins!) And I was working all day - but I did manage to do the food shopping and bring home his favourite, a big joint of beef for Sunday dinner. Only problem was he had to cook it himself as I always overcook the beef and I can't make Yorkshire puddings! At least Ed did the vegetables.
I bottled out of posting an old picture of Dad today, even though it's far more embarrassing for me than for him (aged 12, sporting the most hideous red-checked trouser suit ever to walk this earth - what was I thinking!) But Happy Father's Day to Dad!
Please tell me you're a sensational cook in every area but cooking the beef roast! That stove and oven are to die for! And the meal...thumbs up, Mac! I'm duly impressed! (Poor Ken...no kids around for us either, so it was something of a non-event...)
It was fun sharing the movie-set story...everyone seemed to have a story of their own! I would *love* the sort of shows they film in your area...I'm a huge fan of Masterpiece Theatre that shows period pieces of the sort you mention. It's been interesting how many 365ers spoke of films being made in their areas...you never know when a photo is going to strike a chord!
he looks so happy! your "red-checked trouser" made me laugh :) i'm sure it will come back, somebody said that fashion is always "recycling", i totally agree! :)
Ow, I was hoping for the checked trousers and Dad in a tie, probably a wise choice though considering! Those yorkshire puddings are huge,so Mac actually enjoys cooking and is good at it, Paul is only good at the shopping bit and washing up, oh and the eating!!
