I had a completely different picture ready to post today, of the school newspaper I've been working on, but then I was speed-walking the dogs round the fields this afternoon, being buffeted by a vigorous west wind and I noticed the clouds zooming across the sky and the poplars bending in the gale and I snapped this scene with my iPhone. I haven't changed the colours; the sky was this blue and the wheat (corn!) was glowing in the sunlight.
What a beautiful scene. I love the way the composition is made up of swaths of color. (Wasn't it your mother who recently made the "water colour" piece from her photo? I can see this done in the same manner!)
Boy, it's been awhile since I've had time to see everyone's photos, and I'm just now getting a chance to peruse thru some of yours, Helen. This is a wonderful, timeless shot...and reminds me so much of one of Monet's paintings. http://www.paintingall.com/oscar-claude-monet-meadow-with-poplars.html
