A Minor Drama

We tried to moor up in Vathi on Ithaca, but it was impossible with 20 knot cross-winds, and a melee of other boats circling in the harbour waiting for the wind to drop, so we gave up and went on to Kaioni. By the time we arrived, the light was fading, it was still very windy and the small harbour was full. Spurred on by mild desperation we attached ourselves to the end of a flotilla, moored in the swimming area (the nautical equivalent of double yellow lines!). The flotilla skippers were great and helped to tie us in. The boys rowed the tender to shore and attached a stern line to a rock to stop us coming adrift in the high winds. Next morning, all was calm, and Will took the tender back to undo his world-famous bowline knot so we could sail off once more.
Very cool! You've had quite adventure!
