It was an exquisite Autumn morning, with a crisp chill in the air and sunlight glowing through a soft shroud of mist. There were cobwebs everywhere, still strung with dewdrops. This one was in our overgrown patch of orchard. Although neglected, the apples keep coming back every year.
I had to have stern words with my little camera to get it to focus on the delicate strands of silk in the foreground instead of the trees in the background - which it clearly found much more interesting - but we eventually came to an agreement.
No action in this shot for the theme, but just imagine all those spiders busy at work during the night!
I absolutely hate when my camera does that--it means I have to manual focus and I never have my glasses with me. Whoo-what a great shot that usually turns out to be.
This however, turned out wonderful. It looks like silver string.
