I was taking Autumnal shots of leaves on an old tree stump in the woods (don't worry, no hideous tree diseases today!) when I noticed the tiny snail shell. I moved it a little to include it in my picture and then noticed the occupant had poked his head out to see what was going on. No doubt he was a little taken aback to find a camera in his face, but he was probably just relieved to find he wasn't lunch for a passing blackbird. I put him back after the photo-shoot!
