It's always a bonus when Saturdays are bright and sunny because I usually spend the morning standing on a field somewhere watching the boys playing football. This morning Will had a home match and the parents had to turn up early to rake the leaves off the pitch! Ed was also in action at home, refereeing an Under 9 match, so I toggled back and forth between the two.
It was dark by 5pm, but there was a about half an hour of intense golden light before that, which is when I took the dogs out and snapped this picture - these apples are very late ripening so are still on the tree waiting to be picked.
