Moving On by helenmoss

Moving On

For more than ten years I walked or cycled past the church and tree four times a day (often more, to fetch forgotten trumpets or tennis rackets or for school meetings) , to and from the village primary school. Since the start of September, both boys are at Secondary School and they go off by themselves to catch the bus. Today I went back to school to drop off some cast-offs for a recycling fund-raiser they were running. It did feel a little odd, but all part of the Circle of Life, I suppose, like the leaves falling off the trees....
Yep, time flies....lovely tree!

What a lovely meditation. Sad but as you say, part of life's plan. The picture is lovely.

love the sentiment with the autumn leaves. I feel odd when we go back 'home'...we've moved on and seen and done so much yet it all looks and feels the same...like a time warp. It feels like a lifetime ago but yesterday all at the same time.
