Perfect Timing

Today the sun shone for exactly 39 minutes. Luckily for me, those were the same 39 minutes that I was out walking the dogs this morning. Either side of that, it has been uniformly grey and drab. But when I took this picture of St Mary's church in Great Eversden (built in 1470), the sky really was this blue! These kind of flint walls always look lovely in the sunshine - as if they are glowing with warmth. And they have a great texture too.
what a beautiful shot..............

Great color play! You're right about the flint walls in the sunshine. Timing is everything! I really love your choice of foreground, too :)

Lovely shot. Glad you got your walk in in the sun. I walk a lot, and often that means rain, or worse. I love that you got the weather vane W & E in as well. Very nice.

Glad you managed to make the most of the 39 minutes of sun, we have had a sunny day here(more than 39 mins) notice I have spelt minutes right, sorry about my comment on the time

I don't know how you do it. I get moody and unhappy in the winter when the sun is up approx. 7:00 am and sets around 4:30 pm. That's just too little day light for me.

That was lucky getting dog walking timed so well, be good to have a sun alarm that went off when the sun came out, maybe!

Oh and the theme is texture, right!
