Lucky

Okay, I know I said I was going to go and tackle the laundry mountain but I can't resist uploading just this one ski photo before I go and face those socks.
When we said we were going skiing in Austria this late into the Spring (almost the last week of the season), there was a certain amount of pooh-poohing among our friends who also like to ski (all good-natured, I should add!). The phrase 'hope you packed your walking boots' was bandied about a fair bit. But look at all this lovely snow! There was a huge snow shower in the middle of the week, lots of sunshine, blue skies and almost empty slopes. I spent the whole week feeling outrageously lucky; to be there in the middle of some of the most spectacular mountains in the world, whooshing down slopes with my husband and boys at my side. Well, I say, 'at my side'...in truth, that should read 'disappearing into the distance' because I am now officially the slowest skier of the family. The shame of it. I've been overtaken by a 12 year old!
But I didn't need my walking boots once!
Great stuff!! Quiet slopes - a treat! The ironing will wait - essential skill for boys to learn!

Ah fantastic :D and yes, empathise on the "being overtaken by the youngsters" thing, it's really quite unnerving how little fear little sorts have on the slopes!

Nice to see you are back safe and sound ,and you have got your priorities right 365 before the washing. Your picture looks wonderful.

Sounds like a great trip. Skiing in the Cascades this year expected until June, that's how cold it is this year. Big snow pack and still some new stuff coming down.
