Undecorating

Home again and time to take down the Christmas decorations ( a day late I think). It's always good to be home, although I did have to get straight back to work, with the feedback on the final line edits for The Phoenix Code to complete before Wednesday.
My wreath on the front door has done good service but definitely starting to look a little skew-whiff and bedraggled. Time for it to come down. We still haven't got round to moving the table football table from in the hall right inside the front door where it was placed for the party several weeks ago now. Have you ever tried lifting one of those things? It needs to go back upstairs, but no one has quite got the energy . . . maybe it will stay there until the next party!
Undecorating is always a sad job (only upside is scoffing all the unclaimed chocolates that fell down the back of the tree!) and, double boo hoo, I have a cold AGAIN! I brought it on myself. I should never have pooh-poohed the lovely people of Barcelona for huddling inside their furry snoods and shiny quilted micro-fibre jackets in temperatures that would be perfectly welcome in England around the middle of May, or sniggered at the endless adverts for cold and flu remedies on Spanish TV; according to one advert there are eight types of cough. And I thought it was just a two-way thing between tickly and chesty).

I certainly got my come-uppance. Cough, sniff, splutter . . . I take it all back
You should have wrapped up , do hope you are feeling better now. I agree with you it is the worst job taking the decorations down, I loved decorating your Christmas tree with Wills and Ed
