The reason/excuse for our trip to Northumberland . . . to spend the day with reader, Amy, whose dad bid for the visit on Authors for the Phillipines, set up to raise money for the victims of the typhoon. A lovely day talking about books with a delightful, keen young writer and her gorgeous dog.
