I did a talk and book signing at St Ives Book Jam today - it's such a lovely event - a free all-day festival of children's books, with all kinds of author and illustrator talks and book-related activities. The children were given blank book marks so that they could collect autographs!
This is *fabulousfabulousfabulous*! I practically know for a fact that most will be saved through the lifetimes of those children! When I was small, my mother would read me a book by and author named Lois Lensky. One of the drawings puzzled me, so my mother wrote (back in the day of letters), and I received a postcard from her, explaining the drawing. I can't recall the book, but I remember that author's name and that card is still in my baby book, a remembered treasure. And so shall your name be as well...
