Cambridge was on its best behaviour this afternoon as I took my friend from Oregon on a guided tour. Warm, sunny and not too crowded, we enjoyed wandering through the colleges and cobbled streets. Jayne gamely agreed that we should go in by bike, even though she hadn't cycled for five years (and was on the wrong side of the road!). She got the full Cambridge experience, including being loudly tutted at by locals as we stopped to take photos on Garrett Hostel Bridge. A super-speedy cycle home and then netball training in the evening - the first of the season and I already have a bruised elbow and swollen finger - I'm fairly sure it's not broken but it's making it difficult to pick up a cup of tea.
