You don't see squirrels often where I live. Even when I'm out hiking in the forest or the mountains you have to be very lucky to see one.

So imagine my surprise when I saw this little fellow in the tree just outside our bedroom window this morning.

Hope he stays ;-)

Oh my gosh I've never seen a red squirrel before! (Someone imported grey ones to the UK and they've all but wiped out the red ones). Wonderful view, and great capture!

What a gorgeous little rascal! Where I walk in a southern California park, the squirrels are plentiful and pretty tame, running up to everyone for a handout (raw peanuts is what we carry).

@rmkk Marlene, I dont think we have grey squirrels in Norway only the red ones (the greys seems to take over completely if they are introduced to an area). The red ones are quite shy and you dont see them that often.
