Get Along Little Dogie

Today's Try-4-July word "Hot Dog" made me think of this song. I believe the above are resting along the trail and the little calf (dogie) is complaining because it is hot. Hence "hot dogie"
This is not a good picture because I had to zoom so much on it. I had a great pic planned, but the darn cows and calfs moved before I could get back to take the picture.

A "dogie" happens to be a stray calf.

Oh, little dogies,
It's your misfortune and not of my own.
Whoop-ee-ti-yi-o get along little dogies,
You know that Wyoming will be your new home.

A cattle trail drunk and a hard road to travel,
That old Jack O' Diamonds is a hard card to play.
Get along, get along, get along little doggies,
Get along little dogies and be on your way.

Whoop-ee-ti-yi-o get along little dogies,
It's your misfortune and not of my own.
Whoop-ee-ti-yi-o get along little dogies,
You know that Wyoming will be your new home.

Some boys have bit this old cow trail for pleasure,
But that's where they get it most awfully wrong.
I wish I could tell you the troubles they give us,
As we go rolling these dogies along

Whoop-ee-ti-yi-o get along little dogies,
It's your misfortune and not of my own.
Whoop-ee-ti-yi-o get along little dogies,
You know that Wyoming will be your new home.
Love the image and the words to that song.

Imaginitative use of the word. Cows are like that--they just leave you stranded !

Nice shot, Henri! :) The big cow looks a bit tuckered! I would have fence hopped (unless it was electrified! LOL).... But this isn't a bad shot. I don't know why you say that. It's really good. The detail and mood are excellent. Love the lyrics to the song! You are so creative! Nice job! :)

@prttblues Thanks, Bev. It is just that it has a lot of noise in it and is not a clear and crisp as I would like it to be.

My camera has a terrible zoom too- almost not worth having it on the camera! But this shot goes nicely with the song and it's ok!

Nice shot of their expressions - I don't think they like the heat much!
