Yellow tree

This picture was taken in Kelowna, BC, Canada during our trip there a few years ago. We went there every year for about 15 years, always during the end of May and first weeks of June. There are streets lined with this beautiful tree. Try as I might, no one could ever tell me what kind of tree it is. Maybe someone here will know.

This may be a black or golden honey locust. Thank you @anniesue.

This is for the rainbow challenge and I guess since I haven't used yellow, it will be for the March words.
Ooh ! isn't that beautiful ! I haven't clue ,unless it is one of the ornamental acers !! However a beautiful find and capture Henri ! fav

It is a gorgeous tree!
I may be completely wrong - but the only yellow tree I know of is the Forsythia although I believe it would be this colour a lot earlier than the end of May in Kelowna and would be back to regular green in June.
But then, I may be wrong about that as well!! - lol!!
They say it is time to prune your roses when the Forsythia blooms so that would be in March for them.

beautiful yellow tree I don't believe forsythia gets this big and the yellow is from flowers instead of leaves as appears to be the case in this photo @farmreporter but I have to agree with you that it looks very much like forsythia from this distance

@grammyn Katy. This was definitely leaves and not blooms. I found it interesting that no one in Kelowna during the 15-18 years we were there could tell me what kind of tree it was.

@farmreporter These trees were definitely not blooming. It was the leaves that were yellow. There were streets lined with the trees. They were so pretty.

@henrir it might be a golden rain tree. I have never heard of that before

I put "tree with bright yellow leaves in Spring" into Google and came up with the Black Locust Tree - but possibly a golden honey locust tree might be more like it. Whatever it is, it's certainly eye-catching!
