Hay Bales by henrir

Hay Bales

I just love to see a field of hay bales. I've been intending to take these for several days, because I am sure one day soon, they will all be loaded on a trailer and taken away. Unfortunately, I think this is the only cutting they are going to get this year. Some years, with good rain, they are able to get several cuttings. So, I'm sure hay will definitely be higher for the ranchers this year.
Way to shoot it when u see it, ‘cause often it is. Ot tjere when u go back.

This is a favorite sight for me too and something about your color saturation here makes it look like a 1960s postcard

A great shot and wonderful sight. You are right about getting the shot now. I drove by a similar scene, but did not have my camera with me. The next day when I went back , they were gone ;-)

You cut some beautiful color in this photo and I feel the same way you do. There is just something compelling about seeing a field full of baked hay.

I agree that bales of hay make me happy to see also. Something so fundamental about it I guess. I love your picture with all the green! fav

Smart idea to get the shot now. We all have pictures in our heads that we wish we'd gotten the real thing instead. The hay growers here have just the opposite problem- too much rain. The fields are so soggy they can't harvest them. Good shot!
