Case Moth.

These cool caterpillars make their cocoon by weaving plant material and sand etc with silk and proceed to cart it around with them. I am amazed at the distances they travel and the intricate detail in their cocoons, a work of art.

We have one of these hanging off the front of our garage at the moment. They really do move around a lot.

I was also very surprised to read that they can spend as much as two years in their cocoon. Great capture.
