London

I hardly ever shoot from the hip. Actually I had never done it until a few weeks ago.

Maybe it's to do with the style of street photography that I like to shoot. I usually like to capture the whole scene and I'd like to consider composition when I shoot.

On the other hand, sometimes, I'd like to get really close to the people. So I started trying... Not as easy as I had in mind and I don't really get much satisfaction even when I get a decent shot (so far anyway). But I'll keep trying and hopefully it'll improve...
It has a certains "sneaky" feel to it shot from that angle.

Like the composition and it works well - but I do like your street scenes!

ah but you picked a great subject for the hip-shooting! i really like how you've processed it as well. i tried to do some when walking about new york city but found the same thing, that i was too close to people and the whole scene/story was missing

Great street shot. Captures a moment. Tells a story... whatever that story is....
