old me church by hjbenson

old me church

The church yesterday has been used continuously since the the 19th Century; not so with this one. It was dedicated in October, 1892 by the Methodist-Episcopal Conference. It was closed during the 1920s reopening in 1928 and re-molded in 1940 but closed permanently as a church shortly after that. Reopened briefly in the 1980s as a fabric store, but it hasn't been used in the last 20 years - just slowly falling apart.

@pamfromcalgary The person who purchased it is planning on using part of it for a store and allowing the Historical Society to use the other half.

Great old building and I like the different angles. It looks like it would make a perfect old fashioned mercantile shop.
