Day n Night by hjbenson

Day n Night

With the full moon tonight, I went back to SawMill Park (c. 1 mi.) and took the 150 year old tree during the day. Then I went back tonight to capture the tree - which has lights on it at night - with the full moon.
Gorgeous photos Harry, Love the difference of the photos. I look forward to seeing it when its in bloom

What a beautiful tree! It looks so different at night, kinda spooky, especially with the moon!! Good one... :)

@silverhorn Rose thank you, soon it will be spring here and the tree will fill out. Once it is full, I will take another photo. Good luck now that you will be a paid photographer.

@bilky Thank you Bilky, it is spooky at night while I was taking the picture a couple with a dog walked up and startled me, but no werewolves.

Cool pictures!! This would be a great tree to photograph in every season. Also, how can 101 photos make you 21 percent complete?? Wouldn't that make a 500 day year? I must be missing something obvious, but I know the math teacher can clarify for me. :)

@pattibenson PJ, I have two albums. The percent complete is based on the main album where this is photo 78 out of 365; the other album I occasionally put a picture in; I have 23 pictures in it.

@semrants Thank you Sarah, I had decided earlier in the day to do this since the full moon was that night.

Interesting to see the two different personas of the tree. On balance I think I like the night picture because the picture is more focussed.

@eleanor Thank you Eleanor for your comment; I agree I should have taken the day-time earlier instead of in the noon day sun.
