Over the past couple of days, several of 365ers have posted one to three of these wise monkeys. I have my own set, it was given to me in the 60s by Wanda, a friend, when I was about to be transferred. On the bottom of the monkeys she inscribed my name, her name, and my roommate's name, Harry Shuey. Harry and I have remained loosely in touch over the years. In 2009 Harry called and said we should get together again. We did and still meet about once a month. Once when he was here, I showed him the wise monkeys that I had kept over the years. He said we should track down Wanda, We did locate her and have corresponded by emails.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...

I really liked reading the caption on this one as it's always nice when people remain friends over the years. what a nice keepsake to have and nice picture Harry!
OMG that is awesome. I love how you all stayed in contact. I had a friend in high school we made a pact to have lunch when we were 25. sadly it never happened. We lost touch over the years:(
