Over the years, I have tried to start a garden many times. Here you can see two of the three reasons I have never gotten a good bounty. The third is deer and they mostly come by when I am asleep.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...

I know exactly what you mean. We have the same problem. Ours is fenced and helps with the deer and bunnies but it doesn't bother the squirrels at all. They cute off plants at the root just because they can. The rabbit in your picture is so cute. He's really on the move.
